Vishwakarma Puja over, now we Bengalis are all pepped up and ready for Durgapuja, Vishwakarma Puja is a widely celebrated festival in West Bengal, dedicated to Vishwakarma, the artisan of Gods, the God that creates weapons and all other stuffs like that for Gods.
If you pay a visit to Bengal on 17.9.16 you will see all the factories and workshops decked up with garlands, and most probably you will see the deity too, being worshipped in some of them.
Not only the workshops or factories but the vehicles and other things that run on machine are spruced up and dolled up too! As symbols of the Artisan God!
Dhak, the Bengali drum has started playing again, after a lull of some months, and that has made every Bengali hungry for upcoming Durgapuja, followed by a group of festivals stitched together that will keep Bengal busy for next two months!
Well, have a blessed time ahead! Don’t forget to pick up your copies of the twins, they have been published on 18.9.16, Agnishatdal and Agnijaat- the ezines.
