1st February is Saraswatipuja, the day when we Hindus (and non hindus) worship the Goddess that gifts us with knowledge, wisdom and arts. So, you can guess that she is hot favorite amongst students, or people like me, who never leave her realm and enjoy her gifts through-out their lives.
If you pay a visit to any Bengali town or city or the only metro Kolkata you will see every school offering their puja to this much revered goddess, now, you won’t be hearing blaring loudspeakers, because this Goddess is not very fond of noise, actually scriptures say that she allows only the sound of bells and chanting during her puja. So, whenever we heard loudspeakers blaring in her vicinity we knew that whoever is holding that puja is not interested in her blessings, is out there for fun only. You know, these pujas are not only holy rituals, there are pleasure seeking young fellows too, who drink booze and have rowdy fun on the money they collect from neighbours in the name of puja.
So, as you and me are keen for her blessings let us fold our hands on 1st February, from all across the globe and seek her blessings.
