Indie Author Speaks 12: Quite liked the editing tips shared by Agni, they all are quite good and should be kept in mind. If you edit your own writing or hire someone to edit it for you, or someone does it for you!
FTQFS: A scary reality in conservative societies, where men can’t directly approach and seduce women they hire women to lure women out to them! Eternal and tragic reality!
Techbabble: Well, just read the forums, these days customer care executives are losing their ethics, manners and expertise steadily all over the country!
The unexpected: Sometimes life teaches us viciously to save a penny for rainy day! Like the thing happened to Agni.
SOS: Many of the miseries caused to us are by other human beings, not luck or fate, that is a sure truth, and quite often by those we trust deeply!
WOW: Very true, if only I could conquer half of myself!
History of India: Interesting piece on early Aryan civilization. Though these days many historians claim that Aryans are not outsiders but Dravidians evolved.
Fun and Frolic section:
Confessions of an alcoholic by Pat Ritter: Sounds like a great story, from which many can learn, the ones who are on the brink of alcoholism or the ones that already are! It is a horrible addiction.
Agnijaat and Agnishatdal Book 12: Books will be published in early May, will be waiting.
Pikatron September 2018 critique by Editor: Will have to get the newsletter from Agni.
10 unforgettable movies: Have watched a few, will check out the rest.
Indian Raga Now:
K.L. Sehgal- He was awesome.
Utpal Dutt- I have watched him in many hindi movies and few Bengali movies he rocks!
Tinkerbell and never beast: Will have to try my luck and see if I can get the movie.
Mother nature: Kolkata chokes me too, but what can we do about it?
Youtube channel: Already checked them all out.
Flying monkeys: Short and hilarious!
Ramnavami: We Bengalis really don’t worship Ram. There are many that worship Krishna though! He was a very noble man if not husband, that part is for sure!
Theme: Sun- a lovely compilation of painting and poems about sun, the paintings are specially cheerful.
The cartoon babu shakespeare: You will see them everywhere in India and on internet! Just tell them that English is not your mother tongue, or if Indian then you have studied in vernacular medium! The scariest ones are those who themselves don’t know English and try to force their English on others!
In the end quite enjoyed the Ezine, and its colourful sketches/paintings specially!
That is it I guess! See you again next month, and thank you Agni/Sharmishtha for translating my works!
