Hi friends, let us begin!

Bengali New Year brings aboard a new author extremely talented one too- Manju Balkrishna! Welcome to Agnishatdal Manju, hope we will be together for a long time!

Boisakh issue begins with a shot from Golconda fort, the tribute this month has been paid to Queen Tarabai, another brave and talented lady from past days.

Spiritual fragrance by Scott Hastie: Beautiful poem about our journey on earth, and filled with fragrance of soul too!

EVM machines and Indian election by saptarchi: I too believe that everything electronic can be manipulated. The world is infested with hackers, one or other must have discovered a way of hacking into this machines, or there is always the chance of collecting votes on one and then replacing them with another, that is easy peasy in a corrupted country like India. We should go back to ballot papers. These things are not meant for corrupted countries like India.

Fogline by Brieuc Martin Onraet 13: Angels bothered by day-dreams of human beings. Interesting!

Vela Vela by Vasu Srinivasan translated by Raghunandan Kuppuswamy: What a story, how do they do it? Ride a bicycle for days? Ridden one and one hour was enough to drain me, and I did stop and got down for a break or two from time to time!

Null dance by Troy David Loy: Another character introduced, a Tamil girl from future, Minakshi. Brief introduction, will be waiting for more substantial one before saying something, the part is well-written as always.

You cannot grasp… by Dom Collucci: Beautifully said. But there is so much fun in attachment!

Bitter Pill dose 41 by Bitter Pill: Press 4: The way press is helping saffron brigade to spread hatred is really alarming!

Ganesha by Manju Balkrishna: What a painting! It is so very beautiful!

The year that never was by Pat Ritters 3: Great piece, Pat took us for a ride in an Australian train in days past! Enjoyed the ride!

Treats:

Wish you all a blessed Bengali new year 1428, lovely greeting Sharmishtha!

5 lovely shots- loved the nest photo most. It is hard to catch a bird sitting in the nest.

This month Linkedin Requests are worth checking out if you are a writer or artist.

Corona Virus pandemic poems by Dr. Graham Clingbine: Wonder what will be the mood of this book, grim or mixed! Hope the latter.

Pikatron by Troy David Loy sounds like a great reading material with fractals as added beauty!

Agnijaat book 14, Very serious read.

Star of the Month Iqbal Bano Will check her out in YouTube.

Star of West Christopher Lee: He had a charisma about him. Very suave, regal and attractive.

Star of east Ajanta caves- Star indeed. I will love to visit these caves, also elephanta and mahabalipuram. 

Youtubia-Atul Chaurasia- Will check him out.

Minutes Together: Selkie was an absolutely cute story. Beautifully written.

Loved the Bengali poem and the hindi poem both. Thank you for adding my work atit in your ezine Agni and translating it for me.

Andhaka- Lord Shiva truly is a very benign God.

TnW- Think twice- very good tip!

Bhandananda- new cartoon! Good message!

The sketches all through the ezine were pretty, very colourful and lovely.

That is it I guess! See you again next month, and thank you Agni/Sharmishtha for translating my works!

Yours sincerely,
Labanya

By the way if you see any other Labanya in Sharmishtha’s social circle that will not be me. I don’t use my pen name [Labanya] in social media, use the real one.

Agnijaat Boisakh begins with Nabobarsho, New Year 1428 greeting, pretty one. Well, let us hope that things will get better after vaccination. Let us simply pray that things will get better and people won’t starve.

Indie Author Speaks: Reading classics is a very good habit for bookworms and authors alike.

FTQFS: Exactly girls should be good for their own sake. It is good for them too in this world full of deadly predators.

Techbabble: Windows 10 is a nightmare! The last good windows version was windows 7.

India Now: Indian Hypocrisy – Very harsh and very true, every society abuses women but only Indians do it under the disguise of nobility, duty, sacrifice etc. virtues.

SOS: Absolutely true, if you have a muse, pamper it!

Intriguing Tales: Another tale about fake teachers, our sages truly were wise and always warned people about dangers!

History of India: Interesting glimpse into pre Aryan India.

My Pen: of journalists: The way honest journalists are harassed using different methods is a very dangerous trait in India. Indian public should snap out of their selfish bubbles and stand behind these people who are trying to save them!

Fun and Frolic section:

It began with a pretty painting and a lovely photograph, few words about the weather of Chaitra.

Selected Poetry by Scott Hastie: New author, new book, will check it out.

Agnishatdal book 14: A very serious read from Saptarchi, the author that handles the grim side of society mostly.

Pikatron October 2019 critique by Editor: Will have to get the newsletter from Troy or Agni.

X files : Never liked the series.

Indian Raga Now:

Bhishmadev Chatterjee- Really good singer, never heard his name before, what a pity!

SPOTLIGHT ON- Helen Mirren- One of my hot favorite actresses of present time. She is really versatile!

Window to West – Snowden: He deserves nobel! Will watch the movie if I can get my hands on it.

Chaitra Shots: Four lovely shots!

Youtube channel: Already checked them all out.

Storytime: poetry from Patreon: haunting painting and poem.

Yamuna Chhat: Interesting, Indians often don’t celebrate the birthdays of their kids and loved ones but celebrate the birthdays of every river and God!

Theme: Rose- Seven pretty paintings.

The cartoon Mr Stick: Another dose of reality.

In the end quite enjoyed the Ezine, and its colourful sketches/paintings especially they are refreshing and pretty!

That is it I guess! See you again next month, and thank you Agni/Sharmishtha for translating my works!

Yours sincerely,
Labanya
